Three walkers called 999 stating they were lost on Tryfan in the dark. As there were multiple callouts ongoing at the same time it was a few minutes before the team leader was able to make contact with the informant by which time they had found the path once more and were happy to continue down with no assistance. They confirmed by phone once they were at the roadside and no further team member deployment was required. |

A solo walker set off later than planned to follow an Alltrails route traversing the Glyders. In their rush they forgot their boots so were wearing deck shoes. As darkness fell they decided to shorten the route by descending a path shown on Alltrails that led down the steep Y Gribin ridge but they lost the main track and became stuck in steep ground so called for assistance. A small hill party was deployed to locate the walker and were able to confidence rope them back to safer ground before descending the main track to the roadside. |

A couple became lost near the summit of Y Garn in strong winds and low cloud. With only Google Maps for navigation, they called for assistance and were located using Phonefined/Sarloc. A hill party was deployed to locate the pair but after some time it became evident that the walkers had continued on their own way without informing the team leader. The hill team divided to cover the most likely routes and eventually the walkers responded to a Phonefind request and were guided to the descent into Nant Peris. The hill teams were recalled to base. |

A solo walker on Glyder Fach slipped on snow and felt his foot go down between rocks and get trapped. He immediately rang 999 for assistance. When the Team Leader made contact with him he had managed to extract his foot and no longer needed help. He thanked the team for the speedy response and the team stood down. |

A party of two walkers became stuck while descending the East side of Tryfan so called for assistance. A party of seven team members was deployed from base to locate the pair with spotters identifying the walker's location from base. The hill team were guided in to the walker's location and once with them, warmed them up and then escorted them down with some confidence roping until they were on the descent path A5. |

North Wales Police asked the team to respond to a driver whose car was stuck in snow on a small lane above Betws-y-Coed. There were no welfare issues they were just stuck. Due to the severe weather conditions it would have taken a long time to access the location so the team leader advised NWP to send one of their 4x4 vehicles or contact 4x4 Response. No OVMRO deployment was required. |

A couple had climbed up the southeast ridge of Siabod with the intention of descending by the north east ridge, however, once at the summit one of the pair became exhausted and unable to continue so they put up an emergency shelter and called for assistance. Due to the severe weather conditions and the time it would require to locate them, the team leader suggested that they start moving if at all possible. After a quick discussion they started walking and a hill party was deployed to meet up with them on their descent. They were intercepted on the southeast ridge and warmed up before continuing the descent to the landrover track and down to Pont Cyfyng. |

A well equipped winter mountaineer became stuck on the summit of Y Garn as they were unsure of the return descent of the North East ridge in darkness and cloud and were unwilling to try descending to Lyn y Cwn. They were very well equipped for winter mountaineering and had managed to dig a snow hole in the deep snow within the summit shelter so were protected from the wind. The team leader explained that given the weather conditions it would be approximately 3 hours before a hill party could reach their location but they were happy to wait. A party of two team members deployed in difficult snow conditions and assisted the walker back down, also picking up a further two walkers who had become disoriented near Llyn Y Cwn.. Two other walkers who had become disorientated near Llyn y Cwn also joined the rescue party for the descent back to the road. |

A vulnerable individual in Mynydd Llandegai required transport to hospital and due to severe weather conditions and icy roads an ambulance was not able to attend. As they were in a safe location with a Police Officer present, the Team Leader advised that OVMRO may not be able to attend as accessing the 4x4 vehicles at Base may not be possible. It was agreed that the Police would organise the transfer, and the team were stood down with no deployment. |
